We are all surrounded by stories. However, many people are of the opinion that storytelling is quite a difficult task. We are here to tell you that it's not entirely true. Just like any other skill, storytelling needs practice and patience. With a few simple tips, tricks and practice, one can easily and surely master the art of storytelling. Read on to know more!

What is your story?

This is one of the most important things to consider. What is your story about and how will your audience react to it? Keep in mind that no matter how good a story is, if the audience doesn't comprehend it, your efforts will be futile.

The Art of Storytelling

Tell stories in a creative way to touch people's hearts. Be interesting with the chronology of your story. To keep the audience hooked, use elements of suspense, drama, thrill in the right order. Storytelling is not just about using words to communicate with the audience. It's about setting the scene in the minds of people.

Use your imagination prowess to the max.

Gestures are Important

Pay attention to your body language, the way you move, raise your voice, the pitch, and modulation. All these things play a vital role in making you a proficient storyteller. Your voice and gestures must compliment the story.

End The Story with a Bang

The Grand Finale, as the word suggests, should always be grand. Leave your audience spellbound and in awe! Give them something, to think about, to ponder about as they make their way back to their homes. The closure is important but if you are planning to take a different route then leave the story open-ended.

These are a few tricks that our Storytelling Artists at FNP swear by. Storytelling requires dedication and consistency. Hope this helps awaken and master the Storyteller in you!
